ADDITIONAL COLLECTIONS

This section includes samples of newspapers and periodicals relating to the the national debt and sale of Treasury securities. Included are examples of bond advertising, as well as a selection of 19th and 20th Century editorial cartoons about government spending.

Presented here are examples of publications relating to the national debt and U.S. Government securities.  Included are 19th and 20th Century volumes printed by brokerage houses trading in Treasury Bonds and other government securities.

Featured in this section is a selection of the materials used in the five Liberty Loan drives of the First World War. Included are posters, pins, pamphlets, and other related ephemera.

This section displays a variety of documents published and/or written by the United States Treasury Department.  Several of these are Treasury Department Circulars, documents printed and widely distributed to banks relating to the handling of specific Treasury securities.

Featured in this section is a selection of the materials used in the Defense (War) Savings Bond Program, and the Savings Bond Program that followed the Second World War.

Featured in this section is a selection of the materials used in the WSS campaigns of the First and Second World Wars.  Included are posters, pamphlets, and other related ephemera.

This part of The Herbstman Collection features a variety of documents and ephemera relating to the U.S. national debt and Treasury securities. Included are political items relating to government spending, as well as historic material from brokerage firms dealing in government bonds.
